The SCIC Trade Program · for architects & interior designers
A manufacturing partner for your specification.
You set the design. We coordinate it with the factory in Parma, then manage production and logistics. You have one local point of contact the whole way.
What we take on
From drawing set to delivery.
The person who presents your project stays your point of contact through delivery. You are never handed off.
Drawing coordination
We plan SCIC’s engineered modules within your architectural drawings and resolve technical details before production.
Photo-realistic renderings
To-scale renderings with finish alternates, ready for your client presentations and approvals.
One point of contact
Container inspection and coordinated site delivery, including multi-unit residential work.
The process
Five stages.
The same sequence on every project, whether it’s a single residence or a development.
Technical specification
Your drawings are planned with SCIC’s engineered modules, door systems, appliance integration and the finishes offered in each collection.
Design consultation & materials
Material selection at the Design District showroom, alongside full-scale kitchen and wardrobe installations. Bring your client.
Manufacturing in Parma
Each order is built to the approved specification at SCIC’s facility in Viarolo di Parma.
Container inspection
Every piece is personally inspected off the container before it is delivered to your site.

Beyond the kitchen
Whole-home cabinetry from one manufacturer.
Wardrobes, walk-in closets, media walls, bars and furniture are made in the same Parma facility as SCIC kitchens, to the same construction standard. Finishes can match or complement each other from room to room.

Questions designers ask
Before you specify.
Where are SCIC Italia kitchens made?
In SCIC’s own 750,000-square-foot facility in Viarolo di Parma, Italy, where the company has manufactured kitchens since 1948. SCIC is a manufacturer, not an importer of finished furniture.
Are SCIC kitchens custom-made?
They are composed, not improvised. Each SCIC collection is a system of precisely engineered modules designed to work together. We plan your space within your architectural drawings using that collection’s modules, proportions and finishes, rather than producing any dimension or finish on request.
Which brands can I specify through SCIC San Francisco?
SCIC Italia’s kitchen, wardrobe and Glamour collections; the ELIE SAAB Maison and KARL LAGERFELD Maison kitchen and wardrobe collections made by SCIC; and Schiffini, the luxury Italian kitchen company founded in La Spezia in 1925, with collections by Vico Magistretti including Cina by Vico Magistretti, the EDIDA 2026 Kitchen winner.
Why specify SCIC instead of a local cabinetmaker?
The difference is the starting point. SCIC collections are systems of engineered modules, with opening and storage mechanisms developed in Parma since 1948 and installed in more than 40 countries. You can open and test them at full scale at 68 Division Street before your client commits, and every piece is inspected here off the container.
Why doesn’t SCIC use solid wood for cabinetry?
Solid wood swells and shrinks across its width as humidity changes, and finishes slow that movement but cannot stop it. On wide panels such as slab doors, end panels and drawer fronts, that leads to cupping, drifting reveals and misaligned mechanisms. SCIC uses real wood veneer over a stable engineered core, which gives genuine wood on a panel that stays flat and true. Read the full explanation.
